Grisha Ghead, the Egyptian referee that officiated
the Zambia v Nigeria group C football
match in the on going African Cup Of Nations has been sacked by the
Confederation of African Football (CAF), following the controversial penalty he
awarded to the defending champions Zambia, which saw the equalised and finally
drew the match 1-1 with Nigeria.
The Nigerian Football Federation was
reported to have lodged an official complaint to CAF, and the sack of the
Egyptian Grisha Ghead might have been the outcome of the compliant.
