Jim Nwobodo's son Dr. Ifeanyi Nwobodo buried at uncle's compound

The remains of ‎ Sen. Jim Nwobodo's first son, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwu Nwobodo was finally laid to rest today. ‎He was buried in his father's elder brother's house, Chief John Nwobodo, Chairman of old Enugu Local Govt. Area...after his dad refused to allow his corpse buried in his compound. A source related to the family told LIB;

"From the look of things, he was apparently buried on the arrangement of the  church and his siblings as his father was not seen around. His father's awareness of his burial could be traced from the heavy presence of security personnel in guard of his compound though he was not seen and also his second wife. Ifeanyi was buried in his uncle's house which shares the same fence with the fathers house instead of his fathers (irony of life)."

Suspected gunmen riding on motorcycles have killed 103 people  in separate attacks at two villages in Faskari and Sabuwa local government areas of Katsina state.

It was gathered that the armed men, said to be cattle rustlers, invaded Koran Mota village, where they killed seven people including the Maiunguwa (Ward head).
The   armed men also  shot dead a middle aged man at the neighboring village of Unguwar Rimi, in Sabuwa local government area before  fleeing. 

The gang of bandits  who killed people at different places were numbering  about  90  and   riding  on 30 motorcycles when they raided Kurar Mota and Marabar Kindo villages in Faskari and Sabuwa local government areas respectively. 

Eyewitness said the armed men shot sporadically on the air to scare away the residents.
The Chief Imam of Maigora Village of Faskari local government confirmed that the Bandits came in different forms, with  some   in soldiers’ uniform and others wearing  Fulani’s cloths.

SAD NEWS: Ten secondary school students die in autocrash in Katsina

Ten students of Government Day Secondary School in Kankara town in Katsina state yesterday lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident when a truck loaded with timber which they boarded to help get them to school had a head on collision with another truck which was coming from the opposite director. 

10 of the students died on the spot while four were critically injured. Their corpses were taken to the Kankara General Hospital. Activities at their school was suspended to mourn the dead students. May their souls rest in peace..Amen.

Hip hop act Damino Damoche shot dead at LASU yesterday afternoon

Rising hip hop act, Olaniyan Damilola, popular known as Damino Damoche, was shot dead yesterday afternoon at Lagos State University Ojo gate by people suspected to be cultist.

Damoshe was shot twice in the head and hand after he finished writing a test at faculty of management science. He was a Banking and Finance student at LASU. He was popular for his song - obo to she.

Report following the autopsy carried out after her sudden death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos revealed that the Kennis Music star, suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’

The autopsy carried out February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

The burial arrangement for the former Big Brother Africa house mate will be announced by the family.

Veteran nollywood actor Justus Esiri passes on

Another tragedy has hit the movie industry, as legendary Nollywood actor, Justus Esiri, has died.
It was gathered that the actor, who is also the father to Mavins artiste, Dr. SID, lost the battle to diabetes caused by old age.

Esiri passed on some hours ago in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos and will widely be remembered for his role as headmaster in the series Village Headmaster, which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
He is survived by a wife, Omiete and six children.

Oscar Pistorius gives his account of the night he shot dead his GF

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today and gave his account of what happened at his home the night he shot his girlfriend dead. 

He claimed he had been on the balcony of his house when he heard noises from the bathroom. Believing Reeva Steenkamp was asleep in bed, he grabbed his gun and shouted a warning before firing four shots through the door. It was only then, Pistorius claims that he realised Miss Steenkamp was not in bed.

'I kicked the door open,' he said  'I tried to help her but she died in my arms.'

Tragedy: Mysterious Death Wipes Out Family of Nine( Warning, Graphic Picture, Could Be Disturbing, Viewer Discretion Is Warned)

Grief and sorrow enveloped Umuakuru village in Emekuku, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State Nigeria, yesterday Sunday July 8th following the mysteriousdeath of nine members of a family whose bodies were discovered in their rooms early hours of the day.

The family had buried their 98-year-old mother, Mrs Felicia Njoku on Saturday [July 7] in their country home. The deceased include Mr. Pascal Njoku, his wife Juliana and their five children, Ebere (first daughter), Ifunanya (second daughter), Chibueze (son) Jackline (third daughter) and Uchechi (last daughter).


Others, who also died along with the Njokus, were Mr. Njoku’s sister, Christina Uba (nee Njoku) and her friend Catherine who accompanied her to the burial.


A family relation who pleaded anonymity told Daily Sun that with the burial of their mother over and attendant funeral activities completed, the embattled family retired to bed late in the night but could not wake up the following day. 

However, fingers were being pointed at a member of the family whom the source said had earlier threatened to deal with the late Njoku and his family over a lingering family problem. Not prepared to take chances over the threat, Njoku’s wife, Juliana reportedly compelled him to relocate herself and their children for safety, but her advice was ignored. 

When Daily Sun visited the deceased’s residence, their corpses were yet to be taken to the mortuary as armed police and soldiers cordoned off the area to prevent possible breakdown of law and order as the youths from the area were sporting for action. 

An elderly man from the village told Daily Sun that the corpses would not be removed from the compound until certain rituals were performed to appease the gods of the land. 

“We have never witnessed this kind of tragedy in our village. I am 90 years of age, this type of calamity had not happened before and something serious must be done to appease the gods.”  

Another source told Daily Sun that a pastor, who visited the family last Wednesday before the burial, suffered a spiritual attack and was unable to continue the prayer session. 

A woman, who narrated her ordeal to Daily Sun also, said a day to the burial she defecated in her dress unknowingly and was rushed to the hospital. Suspicion of the victims’ death from fumes of generating set was dismissed by eyewitness, who said the family had none.

Reports has it that, Hope Amadi borrowed a cloth from one Miss Chioma Onyeagweand refused to return it for many days. When Chioma, whose cloth was borrowed told her friend to return her cloth, that was on Tuesday June 5th, 2012. Hope allegedly became extremely aggressive which led into a serious argument between the two that caused a physical fight.

 People around said that Hope Amadi picked up scissors from their room and stabbed Chioma seven times on the neck and several other places. Chioma was rushed to the Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital, where doctors reported that Chioma was stabbed on her artery, and that if she hadn't been rushed to the hospital, she would have died.
