How to beat your wife - By Charly Boy

Article written by Charles Oputa. Read below..
When I look back at my life, and all the stuff I did as a carefree, young and restless youth,  I can't help but shudder at some of my very bad habits. Yes, I was once short-fused; blowing off at the slightest provocation. It was pitiful. Over time I have managed to rid myself of such sad habits but that can't be said for a lot of men some of who, even late in their lives can't still get over it, thereby losing their cool in their homes. No be small thing sha.

Domestic violence is an under reported crime in Nigeria, almost accepted as norm. Some  men feel it's their right, some feel it's always the women who bring out the beast in them, while others will readily admit its a way of stamping their authority in the home. Sadly, many don't see anything wrong with beating their wives. How sad! Yes, am aware there are women who beat up their husbands, but those are in the minority and this piece ain't about them. The most guilty perpetrators are usually men and the victims are mostly their wives and sometimes their children too.

Men abusing women is like a defence and coping mechanism for being or feeling WEAK in other aspects of life, sometimes including deep analog beliefs about masculinity. Men who abuse loved ones tend to blame other things or people for their violent outbursts. In some cases, it is a cycle: "my father abused me and my mom, so, it's  normal".
Society doesn't help either, it ingrains in a man's psyche that macho bullshit; how he should be strong and if he can't exhibit that in his daily public life, it's ok for him to go home and prove his strength.

Abusive men are not limited to a particular status, it ranges from a bricklayer to a CEO or even a President, causing their women to perpetually live in anxiety and fear. Most of them tip-toe around their husbands, not because they respect these men, but because of fear.

A violent man might have grown up in a dysfunctional household but this is still not a reason to be abusive. It is an excuse, and a flimsy one at that.
Some men don't come from humble homes where women are appreciated. Some of us come from homes that expose us to sex, gossip, male macho bullshit. Values for treating women start with where you're coming from, your background. However, beyond these, what fucks most men up is our BIG FAT EGO.

It has everything to do with selfishness or overrated feeling of self-importance. QED.
Ego is the source of many negatives in the world. It is the false 'self' that Jesus said we should let die before we can gain everlasting life. Ego craves to be first, but we must be willing to be last. Unconditional love comes with humility, selflessness, abundant generosity, perfect responsibility, fearless confidence.

I no go brag, am not all that, but I dey try. God knows!

Now, for the man who feels trapped in this mad dance with his loved ones and is trying very hard to rid himself of this very terrible habit, do like me. If you start to feel that your fuse is about to burst, try and say nothing, hold it in for a few minutes and relocate yourself to another space, either in your house, or outside. Allow some time to elapse before you express yourself, never talk or let your fist run amok when you're upset; it doesn't make for a good picture.
Even though I have cured myself of my short fuse, i still get tempted from time to time. What works best for me now is silence. I go and lock myself in my room and will never utter a word to my lady until am sure am in control of my faculties. Since many moons ago, I have discovered that this is a very effective option in dealing with a very bad temper.

So next time you are with your woman and you feel like turning her into a punching bag, change the game, beat her with your silence for the period you feel like blowing your fuse. Na my way be that oooooo.
This is just my take sha, how you see the matter my guys?

Some useless Nigerian beliefs that needs to be addressed

These  have been beliefs that have been with us right from way back and I think it's time we address it and get things sorted out.

Every Tooth paste na Maclean.

Every Cat na Demon

Every Fine boy na Player.

Every light skin girl na Olosho

Any Guy wey spend for Girl na Maga.

Every Sunday = Rice

All Northerners are Muslims

All Calabar ladies are good in bed

Rich Hausa men are Alhaji while poor ones are Aboki.

All Benue people practice wife-sharing

On a date the guy should always pay the bills

A guy must ask a lady out

The older child must marry first

When you travel abroad you become auto rich

Every noodles na indomie

Every soup flavor cube na Maggi

If u drive a car; u have money

If u call a girl: u are interested in her

Igbo girls like money

Yoruba girls are dirty

Mix maltina and peak milk = blood tonic

Alomo bitter = sex fuel.

If you sleep with a girl on the same bed, you must have sex with her

Well it is not as we always think it is. it's high time we clear our minds and get our facts straight.

This is how the Nigerian Railway system works, what a pity for oil rich Nigeria. Shame

This is a very sad situation, a whole oil rich country Like Nigeria, not only oil rich, we are blessed over and over and over with soooo many natural resources, but it is so unfortunate that this is how our railway system works, take for example a nation like Britain, who have no natural resources like us but have one of the best railway system in the world, both the once that run above the ground and the once that go under ground, why can't we be like them, and yet we have the richest people in Africa as Nigerians and Pastors who fly Jet Plains. God have mercy on us all in Jesus Name. Amen.

Meet Africa's richest woman- Mrs Folorunsho Alakija

Nigeria's richest woman draws the bulk of her fortune from oil. Folorunsho Alakija started her career in the mid 1970s as a secretary at the now-defunct International Merchant Bank of Nigeria, one of the West African nation's earliest investment banks. In the 1980s, after studying fashion design in England, she founded Supreme Stitches, a Nigerian fashion label that catered to upscale clientele. Her biggest break came in oil. In 1993 Nigerian President Ibrahim Babangida awarded her company, Famfa Oil, an oil prospecting license which went on to become OML 127, one of Nigeria's most prolific oil blocks. Famfa Oil owned a 60% stake in the block until 2000 when the Nigerian government, led by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, unconstitutionally acquired a 50% interest in the block without duly compensating Alakija or her company. Famfa Oil went to court to challenge the acquisition, and in May this year, the Nigerian Supreme Court reinstated the 50% stake to Famfa Oil. Chevron owns the remaining 40%. Through her charity, the Rose of Sharon Foundation, Alakija supports widows throughout Nigeria.
She is 61 years old and is married with 4 children

Does the size of a man's Penis matter??? well find out here

A scientific study claims to have settled the age-old debate on whether penis size actually matters.
As reported by MailOnline earlier this week, research in Scotland claims that women who have frequent vaginal orgasms are more likely to credit larger penises for them.
Stuart Brody, a psychologist at the University of West Scotland, surveyed 323 women on their previous sexual encounters and whether length influenced their ability to climax.
Apparently, the women who reported the highest number of vaginal orgasms were more likely to rule that bigger was better. Brody told Live Science: ‘This might be due, in part, to greater ability of a longer penis to stimulate the entire length of the vagina, and the cervix.’

Study finds sexually aroused women are less easily disgusted

Comfy in bed: The study suggested that, for women at least, sexual arousal reduces the disgust response

Sex can be messy, but most people don't seem to mind too much, and new research suggests it may be because sexual arousal makes us harder to disgust.
The authors of the study, led by Charmaine Borg of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, asked female participants to complete various disgusting-seeming actions, like drinking from a cup with an insect in it or wiping their hands with a used tissue.
Sexually aroused subjects responded to the tasks with less disgust than subjects who were not aroused, suggesting that the state of arousal has some effect on women's disgust response.

Borg said: 'Women [who] were sexually aroused were more willing to touch and do initially disgusting tasks.
'These findings indicate that lack of sexual arousal may interfere with functional sex, as it may prevent the reduction of disgust and disgust-related avoidance tendencies.'
The researchers divided the female participants into three groups, and asked each to watch a video before performing tasks.
One of the groups watched 'female friendly erotica', while another watched extreme sports and the third watched a video of a train, which was meant to offer a neutral response.
The groups were then asked to use the tissue or drink from the cup, and the researchers found that the 'sexually aroused' group reported less feelings of disgust.
For the study, the insect was made of plastic and the tissue was colored with ink to make it appear used.
The group who watched the erotica also successfully completed most of the tasks assigned to them, compared to the other groups.
The authors conclude that sexual arousal has an effect on women's disgust response.

Man sleeps in Coffin

undefined

An octogenarian, Samuel Kogberegbe, told journalists on Friday that he has been sleeping inside a coffin for over forty years now.

Kogberegbe, the founder of Holy Michael Church of the Lord (Aladura), in Egbe, Lagos, who spoke as part of activities to mark the church’s 50th anniversary which holds on Sunday, 3 June, 2012, said he had slept in the coffin to remind himself of life’s vanity and that one day, he would die.

He said his action was also to teach Nigerians to be conscious about death and thus change their negative ways of life. “I believe that death is certain and I am going to end in that coffin,” he said.
The cleric also declared that former President Olusegun Obasanjo was correct to have called Nigerian lawmakers armed robbers at a function in Lagos recently. According to him, Obasanjo’s description of the country’s lawmakers as armed robbers was correct in every sense of reasoning.
He accused the lawmakers of not having any feeling for the suffering masses that voted for them, and warned church leaders to abstain from evil practices, claiming that only through this would they be able to salvage the country.
