WESTFIELD — Town police have announced road closures and restrictions Monday around Fairview Cemetery, where Bobbi Kristina Brown is expected to be buried alongside her mother Whitney Houston.
Brown, the 22-year-old only child of singers Houston and Bobby Brown, died in hospice care on July 26, months after she was found unresponsive in her Georgia home.
Houston, a Newark native, is buried next to her father in Fairview Cemetery, at a gravesite watched over by private security.
East Broad Street, where the cemetery is located, will close at about 10 a.m. from Wychwood Road to Springfield Avenue. Gallows Hill Road will be closed from East Broad Street to the Cranford line.
No parking will be allowed on the closed roads from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
Residents will be allowed to access their homes, and police "will do their very best to minimize any inconvenience these road closures may cause," Chief David Wayman said in a Nixle message.
The burial follows a private funeral and wake held last week in Atlanta
