According
to my sources, 29 year old Hadiza, wife of Touch bearing rapper Zaaki Azzay, said
she packed out of her husband’s house on April 17th after being
badly brutalised a day before by Zaaki. She was able to leave with two of her
children, while the eldest of them is still leaving with with him at home.
She
said he had been battering her for years, some times he would beat her so much
she would faint, but her family kept telling her to go back to him for the sake
of their children, She also said she left him twice last year but returned to
him after much pressure from family and
friends, But when the beating continued, she made up her mind to end the
marriage for good because she didn’t want die in his hands.
Hadiza
is now under the care of an NGO that looks after women that has suffered
domestic violence. They have given her shelter alongside her two children and
are understood to be taking up her case
According
to source, she was arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping her own
children. She says Zaaki has been using the police to intimidate her.
