A woman popularly Known as Iya Anu was stripped naked and made to carry the corpse of the dead 16 year boy around her area on sunday on Amosu street, Ijegun in Lagos State Nigeria.
The woman beat the 16 year old, who is her foster son, Seubow to death for allegedly stealing N50. Sebow happens to be her husband's nephew.
According to neighbours, it all started after Sebow lost N1,000 given to him by Iya Anu to run errand for her some days back. Angered by the loss which she claimed was theft. The woman refused to feed him for more than 4 days. When the teen couldn't bear the hunger any more, he sneaked out to buy gala one night. When Iya Anu found out, she accused him of stealing N50 and beat him up using a rod. Sebow was beaten for days until he couldn't stand it any more, which resulted in his death on sunday afternoon.
After his death, neighbours rounded her up and made her carry the corpse of the dead boy to the police station. If only neighbours had intervened earlier, this wouldn't have happened. That wasn't the first time she would batter him. The photo on the right was taken in June at a police station where Iya Anu was taken to after seriously battering the boy. No one came to his rescue and he ended up dying like a slave, So sad.
