7 Cameroonians Missing From London Olympic


These are the faces of the 7  Cameroonian athletes  including the whole entire boxing team and half of it's swimming team  who are missing from the the London 2012 Olympic.

Authorities confirmed on Tuesday that they were feared to have left in order to stay back in the UK for economic reasons.

Team officials informed the government about the possible defection on Monday night after the news swept round the Olympic games village in Stratford, East London that the Cameroonians had gone missing.

These are the list of the athletes:

Drusille Ngako 25. Reserve goalkeeper for the women's football team
Paul Ekane Edingue 21. Representing the country in Swimming.
Thomas Essomba 24, Boxing
Christian Donfack  Adjoufack 28, Boxing 
Yhyacinthe Abdon Mewoli 26, Boxing
Sergio Ambomo 26, Boxing 
Blaise Yepmou Mendouo 27, Boxing.

The group are not yet breaking the British immigration rules  after new accreditation rules introduced to bypass normal visa procedures, meant all Olympic athletes, and their families, could stay in the country until early November.

Sources from Home Office said that all athletes were free to leave the Olympic Games Village if the so wish to. It is understood that none of them have applied for asylum in Britain yet, despite finding none of their personal belongings. officials are suspecting they may have gone sightseeing or to visit friends or family. But David Ojong, Cameroon's head of mission to London 2012 fears that the group had absconded
