National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes annual election marred by violence

The annual elections of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP) reportedly ended in violence yesterday Sunday August 9th as they gathered to elect a new president. According to eye witness, the prostitutes resorted to fighting after the result of their presidential election was disputed by the prostitute who lost.

Trouble began when the former secretary, Jessica Elvis was declared winner after getting 300 votes to defeat the incumbent, Madam Felix Efoyo, who garnered 153 votes, while their Nasarawa State coordinator, Tamar Tion, came third with 63 votes.

After the results were declared, violence broke out when the incumbent president Madam Efoyo rejected the outcome of the election, claiming that it was marred with irregularities.

Shortly after the electoral committee chairman, Franca Chikam announced Madam Elvis as the winner, Madam Efoyo revolted and ordered for a fresh election on the ground that she was rigged out. One of Madame Efoyo's loyalist reportedly broke a bottle and stabbed another member during the fight.
