Application Management

Multitasking - Close any running BlackBerry® smartphone applications that are not being actively used. An easy way to see which apps or games are open is to press and hold the Menu key which causes the App Switcher to appear. Then switch to the application or game that is not being used and after pressing the Menu key, select the Close or Exit option to exit the application or game. Additionally, theCPU screen in the Application Management feature of the Options application will show the running applications that do not appear on the App Switcher screen. Applications that are not running will appear with Not Running under their name.

Closing Applications Correctly - Avoid using the End key to close applications as this simply minimizes the application and leaves it running in the background. Instead, press the Menu key, select the Closeor Exit option to exit the application.

Closing Browser Tab – BlackBerry® Device Software 6.0 and higher provides a tabbed browsing experience. Ensure that tabs that are no longer in use are closed by pressing the Menu key, selecting Tabs, and clicking on the red X under the tabs that are no longer in use.

Configure Instant Messaging and Social Networking Application Settings – IM and Social applications may send and receive information on a periodic interval. These applications may have options or settings that will reduce the frequency at which data is transmitted. To further reduce the frequency at which data is transmitted, Logging out of IM and Social applications when they are not needed can further improve battery life.

Configure Podcast and Social Feed application settings – Podcast and Social Feed based applications may be configured to automatically download content on a periodic interval. These applications may have options or settings that will reduce the frequency at which data is transmitted.

Close Media applications – When pausing media playback, the application playing the media will still be running in the background. If media playback will not be in the near future, choose to press the Menu key and select the Close or Exit option to exit the application.

Newly born twins found at a dump in Onitsha, Anambara State

Very ill and disturbing news happening these days. According to source, the babies, set of twins were found at a refuse dump on Okosi Road in Onitsha, Anambara State some days ago. It was obvious from the picture below that the twins were just a couple of hours old because they were still covered in fluid and their placenta still intact.

How cruel can human beings be, this is so sad. God have mercy on whoever did this to these innocent kids

25 Students massacred in Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria

We all heard the extremely sad news some days ago. Unknown gunmen stormed an off-campus student hostel of the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Adamawa State and shot dead at least 25 students. Some newspapers say the number is as high as 40.

The school has been shut indefinitely and the Adamawa State government has also imposed a 24-hour curfew. No group has claimed responsibility for the massacre.

Nollywood actress Dorothy Njemanze assaulted by Military persons

 

Nollywood actress, Dorothy Njemanze was assaulted by the Nigerian Army Force by 9pm a couple of days ago. The beautiful activist, who is currently receiving treatment at an Abuja hospital tells how disappointed she is to be a victim of what she has been fighting against.

In her own words, she says “On my way from the ambassador for peace beauty pageant held at the Sheraton Hotels, I decided to check on my brother at the end of my street. I parked my car in front of Dreams Garden at the end of my street behind one bus, and was going in to see Ugo (my brother) when a man dressed in a man-o-war uniform appeared from nowhere and shoved me on my breasts, commanding that I get into the bus I parked behind.

The other day I brought to you a story of a church member that eloped with fellow church members child, now the baby has been found.

Toniloba Obafemi, the 9 nine months old baby that was kidnapped on Sunday, September 23, 2012 

by a church member at RCCG Parish, in Abuja has been found in good health.

Toniloba and his kidnapper, Comfort Amos, were found in Benin after maximum investigations and tracking by family and friends with help from the police. Comfort's accomplic was caught in Auchi, Edo State and he led the police to Comfort who was with the child in Benin. They asked for well over N10million for ransom
