Another victim can be seen
being sent flying with a kung fu style kick after the unchecked violence.
Police released the video footage after a care worker was arrested
and charged with two counts of contributing to the neglect of a minor.
Sandra Trevillion,49, was
arrested at her home by detectives after they viewed the tape.
An aunt of the boy, who is not named, admitted to local TV that
her nephew has anger problems while is mother said she was shocked by the
level of violence.
Investigators came across the shocking video while looking into an
alleged assault at the day care centre by the father of the young girl being
abused.
Jamie Williams had stormed into the centre looking for the boy who
allegedly caused her injuries, including a split lip and bruising on her face.
He spotted a boy he thought
was responsible, but turned out not to be, and slapped him across the
head.
Williams was arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
He told WBLT TV that his year old daughter
came home for about a week with injuries including a split lip and a bit mark
on her chin.
He said he was angry when staff couldn't explain her injuries.
'Don't nobody know nothing at the daycare. Nobody know nothing,'
said Williams.
Police said he was wrong to carry out his own punishment but said
the boy was allowed to go on the rampage hurting other children.
'This 9-year-old child,he
was allowed to pretty much run rough shot over that entire room for a period of
15 to 20 minutes. All his actions went unnoticed,' said Vicksburg Police Chief
Walter Armstrong.
He said police have interviewed the mother of the boy and further
charges could follow.
Officials with child services are also investigating the day care
centre.
Trevillion is being held on $2,656 bond.
The boy is no longer enrolled at the centre, according to WBLT TV.
