In a desperate attempt to muddle-up facts, convicted felon, Dan Etete, has told a British High Court that he is not the owner of Malabu Oil and Gas and thus not the recipient of the whole $1.1 billion (N173 billion) fraudulently transferred to Malabu by the Goodluck Jonathan administration. The money was paid by oil giants, Shell and Eni, through the federal government, to Malabu.

Mr. Etete, a former minister of petroleum, told the court, in a testimony he gave on a breach of contract suit brought against him over the sale of the controversial oil block OPL 245, that he only made N37.5 billion ($250 million) working as a consultant for Malabu, the Economist is reporting.

According  to NEMA spoke person, the plane spotted on the street of Lagos in the early hours of  today, Thursday 13^th of  June is the scarp of an aircraft that was evacuated from the airport last night following an order issued by the Federal Government Of Nigeria that all scrap aircraft be evacuated from all airports. The Plane was spotted being towed  by a 4 Runner car along Mangoro and was also later seen at a gas station.

And am wondering, is there no other better way to remove a plane from the airport other than been towed by an ordinary car, this our Nigeria, una no just get part 2 at allllll. LOL.

Nollywood Actor, Emeka Ike states why he stopped fighting Actors Guild Of Nigeria's(AGN) Leadership

Popular Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike who happened to be at the centre of the crisis that polarised  the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN about  three years ago, has opened up on why he decided to allow peace to reign in the guild, saying that it was his wife who made it possible.

It would be recalled that Emeka dragged the Board of Trustees of AGN to court about three years ago to challenge the leadership of Segun Arinze as president of the guild. He prayed that the court should declare an election that brought him into office null and void.

While the case lingered in court, the guild did not know any peace as Emeka vowed to sanitise the actors’ body at all cost.

But surprisingly, embattled Emeka Ike suddenly withdrew into his shell after the election of Ms Ibinabo Fiberesima as the first president of the guild. And  many industry watchers have been wondering what might have been responsible for the actor’s decision to sheathe his sword.

But  Emeka has this explanation to offer to whosoever cares to listen; “My wife pleaded with me that for the sake of our children, I should forget about the AGN palaver. She said to me that those whom I’m fighting for are not even recognising what I’m doing for them. My husband, please let go the matter for the sake of our children”, Emeka recounted while in a chat with HVP, recently.

Pa Benedict Odiase (MON), the composer of the Nigerian National Anthem, ‘Arise O Compatriots’ in May 1978 is dead.

Pa Benedict Odiase is said to have died last night in his sleep.

Pa Odiase retired in 1992 as a Deputy Commissioner of Police after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band. Details later

A Lagos High Court has remanded Fred Ajudua in prison pending the determination of a suit against him.

Mr. Ajudua, who is being prosecuted by the Economic Financial Crimes Commissionfor Advanced Free Fraud, was ordered to be remanded by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole on Tuesday.

Nigerian boxing legend, Bash Ali, 57, was manhandled by policemen after attempting to see the Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi in Abuja on Thursday June 6th.

According to the Nigerian Telegraph, the boxer, who is seeking to become the oldest man to hold a world boxing title defence, and wants to have his defence staged in Nigeria, jostled to get an audience with President Jonathan, who was at the Abuja National Stadium to inaugurate ‘Rhythm ‘N’ Play on Thursday. Ali scuffled with the president’s aides, which got the attention of Jonathan. After having been allowed to approach the president, and after stating his mission, Jonathan directed that the boxer see the Minister of Sports for further discussion on the matter.

Ali however alleged that when he tried to see Abdullahi at a private luncheon held with celebrities and a few others, he was manhandled by the minister’s aides and denied audience with the minister.

“There is no respect in this country for the people who should be respected,” Ali fumed. “How can I, when all I am trying to do is lift up my country’s name, be assaulted by a bunch of scoundrels all in the name of protecting their master? I was already a world champion when they were in primary school.”
