All the Uk based Nollywood stars were in attendance.

Movie producers/directors ,the likes of  Ruke Amata(producer/director/actor),Dele Ajakaiye(Producer "Assasins practice")Nelson Spyk( Producer "Strive to survive"),Roseline Sanni(Producer" Labo" about to be released),

Francis Nwadi( Producer "Heartless Carer" about to be released),Collins Archie-Pearce (Producer "Secret Past") just to mention a few were all also in attendance.

The high point of the party was the arrival of the Chairman of the central association of Nigerians in the Uk (Canuk) Chief Bimbo Roberts -Folayan and wife and Mr. & Mrs Dayo Olomu ( Motivational speaker and  TV talk show host)  who is always supportive of every thing  Theodora puts a finger on." Mr. Dayo Olomu I would like to say thank you at this Juncture" Theodora said in a brief interview with the press.

This party has been tagged the best birthday bash in 2012 in the Uk.

Meanwhile, the celebrant will be celebrating part 2 on 23^rd of Dec. @ Omowhite’s in Barking, part 3 on boxing day @ IF Bar and she rounds it up with the part 4 on the 30^th of Dec. @ the Dj Abass/Omowhite end of year party @ 1 Carat, South Way Wembly.HA9 0HF.

Gagnam style video hits 1 billion views on Youtube

South Korean pop sensation, PSY, has done something no other artist has ever done before. Yesterday Friday December 21, 2012,  PSY's music video for Gangnam Style exceeded 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming the first video to ever do so in YouTube's history.

Google reports that Gangnam Style sees about 7 million views a day... no small feat from a man who was a complete unknown Stateside just a few months ago. 

"Honestly, when I made this video I didn't even expect 1 million views, because this is off my sixth album in Korea, so I just hoped it would be huge there," PSY recently told MTV News. "I didn't even think about any other countries; I just did my job and waited and watched. And, you know, today, I'm still wondering and analyzing its success. Because I've done this thing many times, this dance, this album, this video ... this one just became something else entirely."

School principle and two nurses conduct virginity test on students

Nigeria now imports Diesel and Gas from Niger Republic

Kano Controller, Department of Petroleum Product (DPR), Alhaji Sayyadi Suleiman Abubakar has revealed that Nigerian Marketers now import AGO and Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) from neighboring OPEC member country, Niger Republic.

Briefing reporters in his office on the activities of his department, Alhaji Sayyadi Suleiman Abubakar explained that the two products are in the exclusive list of deregulated items, adding that “it could be acquired from anywhere and sold in the Nigerian market.

N8 million ransom was paid to kidnappers by actress Nkeiru Sylvanus's family for her release

Indications have emerged that the family of Nkiru Sylvanus, the special assistant on publlic affairs to Imo state governor, paid N8 million ransom before she was released. The Commissioner of Police in Imo, Adisa Bolanta, confirmed this development.

Nollywood actor and actress Nkeiru Sylvanus and former Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie released by kidnappers

Actress Nkiru Sylvanus and ex-Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie have been freed by their kidnappers. Nkiru and Kenneth were released some hours  ago in Owerri. The kidnappers blindfolded them and dropped them off at an unknown location where they were able to call friends to come pick them up. No details on whether they paid a ransom.

Plane crash averted on Ilorin-Lagos route

Smarting from the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of former Governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa, former National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi, and four others last Saturday in Bayelsa State, the nation would have witnessed yet another disaster but for providence, as an Overland Airways flight from Ilorin to Lagos suffered technical problems on take-off.

A source told Vanguard that the flight, OJ 1188, had difficulties stabilising in the air as the landing gear failed to retract after take-off from Ilorin Airport, Sunday.

Nollywood Actors' Kidnap: Please bring our colleagues back home for Christmas

We write to formally inform your esteemed office of the kidnap, last Sunday, December 16^th, of two of our colleagues, enterprising entertainers, Nkiru Sylvanus and Kenneth Okolie. The two actors were in Owerri, Imo State, shooting a movie when they were forcefully abducted by masked gunmen. Some hours later, the mindless abductors contacted family and friends of Ms Sylvanus especially demanding a N100m ransom. Up till now, we cannot fathom the rationale behind their kidnap. And their abductors have advanced none.

4 persons charged for bribing Nigerian official over tax in the United Kingdom

LONDON—Four former Swift Technical Energy Solutions Ltd. employees have been charged with conspiring to bribe Nigerian officials to lower the taxes their workers paid in the country.

Three men and one woman, all British nationals, were charged this morning, at a London criminal court following a two-year probe of the company, which is a Nigerian subsidiary of the Swift Group of companies, the U.K. Serious Fraud Office said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.

The defendants- a former chief financial officer, tax manager, financial controller and area director for Nigeria, allegedly paid a total of 180,000 pounds ($292,000) in bribes in 2008 and 2009 to agents of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue and the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue, according to prosecutors.

The bribes were paid to avoid, reduce or delay paying taxes on behalf of the oil- and gas-industry workers whom Swift sent to Nigeria, the SFO said. The case was transferred to a higher criminal court for a hearing on Febbruary 22, 2013 and the defendants were released on bail.

“The company itself is not under investigation and has fully supported the inquiry,” Swift spokesman, Andrew Honnor said.

Former Mr Nigeria, Kenneth Okolie Kidnapped alongside actress Nkeiru Silvanus

We all heard that actress Nkiru Sylvanus was kidnapped late Saturday night December 15th, what we didn't hear until now was that 2010 Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie was with her when she was kidnapped. His friends just contacted me with the info.

Kenneth, Nkiru and another yet to be identified passenger left a movie location in Owerri late Saturday night and were heading to another location when gunmen blocked Nkiru's car between Concorde Hotel and Cathedral Road in Owerri, and took all three passengers in the car.

Kenneth left Lagos two weeks ago to feature in the movie and was due back home sometime this week. The kidnappers are yet to make contact with Kenneth's family.

Nigeria's Finance Minister, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iweala tells of how Kidnappers quized her mum on oil subsidy payment

Below is what the Finance minister said while addressing journalists in Abuja yesterday regarding her 83 year old mother's abduction and subsequent release... 

“I can’t give all the details because we don’t want to compromise ongoing investigations. But I can tell you one thing: my mother suffered a great deal during this ordeal. It was only the Almighty that rescued her from a situation that could very easily have ended tragically. Apart from the emotional trauma of being violently taken away from her family and kept incommunicado for five days in a strange environment, a woman of 83 years was left without food for five days.

“While she was in their custody, the kidnappers spent much of the time harassing her. They told her that I must get on the radio and television and announce my resignation.  When she asked why, they told her it was because I did not pay oil subsidy money.

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu state is not dead- Enugu State Government

Enugu state government have debunked the rumours going round that their State Governor, Sullivan Chime, died over the weekend at an Indian hospital where he went to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment. Sullivan Chime has been away from the helm of affairs in Enugu state since September 2012.

The Enugu state commissioner said the governor is 'hale and hearty' and would soon be returning to the state. He also asked those peddling the death rumours to desist from such.
