Hip-hop mogul JAY-Z is launching his own brand of cognac.

The Empire State of Mind hitmaker has teamed up with liquor giant Bacardi to release D'usse, a premium drink which will retail at 28.12.

The rap superstar joins the likes of Ludacris and Dr. Dre in the French brandy business, but it's not his only venture in the alcohol industry - he's previously invested in Scottish vodka Armadale and has long been associated with Ace of Spades champagne.

James Ibori still making millions from prison

Former Governor of Delta State James Ibori, who has since started his jail term in the UK after he was convicted of stealing $80m, is still making money through his companies. Weekly Trust reports.

The story of former Delta State governor James Ibori is not unlike that of the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, even though they differ. Escobar was rich even though a criminal. At his peak, he owned numerous luxury residences, automobiles, and airplanes. Indeed, he even had a short-lived career in politics.

For James Ibori, the story sounds pretty imitating. During his trial in London, United Kingdom, the court heard that Ibori was able to afford luxury properties, fleets of Rolls Royces, a Bentley and a Maybach, first class travel, private boarding school fees and a private jet worth $20 million, far above what his salary as governor could give him.

The rain maker, Majek Fashek dying slowly

I saw this picture and tears rolled down my eyes, I couldn’t believe that this is the picture of  Majekodumi  Fasheke  a.k.a  Majek Fashek ,the famous  and best known reggae artist  of his time in Nigeria with his famous song, Send down the rain, Redemption  song(A copy write of Bob Marley’s song),

I remember going to see him in the  early 90’s at the Grasshopper international  Handball Stadium Owerri Imo state, Nigeria. That day I can remember very well he wore a white track suite with green strips on the side, then he was a striking handsome and well presented guy and  day the stadium was packed full with loads of admires especially the ladies, some of whom were throwing flowers at him and I bet he was the envy of all young men of his age .

But look at Majek  today ,a proper shadow of what he used to be back in the days ,a walking corps and I bet he must have lost that charming voice of his that actually sent down the rains whenever it was played or he was performing.

He was indeed a popular artist and his song still make waves and drag people to the drag floor up till date.

But whatever turned him into this must be very  bad, I wonder how it all went wrong for the one time Mr charmer that now looks like a scarecrow, did he not have good mangers and advisers , I can’t just place a finger on it. It’s so sad to see a legend waste away like this.

I just hope he gets help and put back the little that is left of him together.

Bomb blast at the Murtala Muhammed international airport

There has been stories of a bomb blast at the MMIA Lagos but the Aviation minister ,Princess Stella Oduah  has  denied  that  there was no bomb blast but a fails alarm .

Please note that there was no bomb at MMIA, rather it was an unattended passenger bag. The noise heard was from the equipments used by the AntiBomb Squad,” she tweeted.

“There was an unattended bag left in the E finger of MMIA by a passenger arriving on a flight from the UK. The bag contained personal effects.

“The NCAA will be issuing a statement shortly on the noise heard at MMIA. Again, please note that there was no bomb.”

Months  after the burial of his ex wife  late Whitney  Houston, the lover boy  and former New Edition boy band member Bobby  Brown  and his fiancée Alicia Etheridge ,have announced  the date of there  wedding , 15^th of June  2012 in Honolulu, the same weekend  his former band New Edition are performing in the area.

Bobby  Brown and Alicia Etheridge have been engaged for two years  and they have a child together.

Wishing them all the best and a happy married life.

Arrested: Katie Lewis was caught on camera allegedly trying to suffocate her 5-month-old son

A mother who claimed her new born son repeatedly stopped breathing was caught on a hidden camera in hospital allegedly trying to suffocate her baby.

Katie Lewis had rushed her five-month-old son to hospital telling doctors the child would stop breathing, turn blue and then regain consciousness.

Staff at the Children's Hospital in St Paul, Minnesota, arranged for the child to be placed under observation for 24 hours in a room fitted with a video and audio monitoring system.

They also performed a series of tests but could find no evidence to support 24-year-old Lewis's claims about her baby
